Grand Opening news: Building Depot has doubled her turnover within the past five years. To continue with our growth, Building Depot has decided in 2008 to execute a big investment program to upgrade her infrastructure as to adapt to future needs.

Thursday the 2nd of July, on Curaçao’s Flag Day we will be celebrating our “Grand Opening “.
This official opening encloses the delivery of:
• 1700 m2/ 17.000 sqft new warehouse space ( outdoor )
• 850 m2/ 8.500 sqft expansion warehouse space to 4000m2 ( indoor )
• 800 m2 / 8.000 sqft transition warehouse space into showroom
• 750 m2 / 7.500 sqft new goods reception area ( transit area )
• 750 m2 / 7.500 sqft new furniture warehouse
• 1000 m2 / 10.000 sqft new showroom for “ Outdoor Living “ Department
• 3600 m2 / 36.000 sqft new Drive Thru for sales/storage of building materials
• 40 new parking spaces.

The investments will contribute greatly to the efficiency improvement of our company and will also create the possibilities to further turn over growth.

New management:
In March 2008 the owner/director Mr. Rodney Lucia handed over his leadership to his new management team which consists of the C.E.O. General Affairs Mr. Peter Luiten and the C.E.O. Commercial Affairs Mr. Roderick Lucia. After living a successful and satisfactory life, the owner Mr. Rodney Lucia passed away in December 2008. The company continues to exist under the present management of which all shares of Building Depot Curacao B.V. has been placed under the family ruled holding: Lucia Group Holding. The shareholders of Lucia Group Holding are determined to continue expanding the company complying with the desires of the late father/husband in the way he wanted to see it.

Investments:
On July 2nd, Building Depot will be celebrating her “GRAND OPENING“ the many re-buildings that had taken place over the past one and a half year.
